got some questions...

So I am getting ready to start building my new LS1 and in the end I plan to put it in a v8 camaro shell or one with a blown motor. The only problem is I was researching out how much the shell or car with blown motor is going to run me come time for me to get one but I couldn't even find one. So my question is...

1) Is it really that hard to find a camaro v8 shell or camaro with a blown v8?

and

2) If they are out ther, how much is it going to run me? (shell being complete minus motor and trans)

you can find them all over the place. spend about 1000-3000 depending on the cassis and other mods (12 bolt rearend or lots of suspension/chass parts will make it worth more to most people looking to do a build) but a bone stock roller in nice shape is sub 2000 for sure.

not many out there, they go to salvage yards, a few parts pulled, and then they go to the crusher

you still think i would be able to find one or no? i don't want one from an accident and i don't see y someone would pull an engine out and give the rest of it to a junk yard or have a blown motor and just throw it away...

Yea Its going to take some looking to find one that isnt mashed up to buy. Not many people just take thier drivetrain out and sell the rest. Best bet is to find one with slight damage and or a blown engine and fix it up.

Yeah that what i really want is one with a blown motor because then i can just take the engine out (easier said than done) and put mine in and i know all the wiring and accessories will all be there and ready

are you in Burton MI? If so check Tiger Salvage off Dort, and Schrams in Waterford both get decent cars in and are good to deal with (may even be able to help you locate one)
