Exhaust video clips (1997 Z-28)

I just gave you guys some pictures of the ground clearance that my headers give (took away from) me...here's some before and after video clips. The first vid is stock manifolds and pipe with a Flowmaster muffler. The second clip is of open headers. I'll update this post around this weekend when I get the exhaust fabricated. Click the pic to play the video. Sorry the second one is kinda brief...I'm sure the neighbors are less than thrilled about how loud it is.

Before the headers:

After the headers:

After the exhaust work:

The same Flowmaster muffler that was on there is still on there. The shop only stocks Flowmaster and Magnaflow. The guy said Flowmaster would be louder so I just stuck with what was there already. Anyway, the full setup is Hooker LT's, ORY, 3" tubing and Flowmaster muffler.

Sounds much better, less "tingy" and much deeper.

it sounds absolutely killer now. i cant wait to do my LTs btw, what tips were those when you had the flowmaster? they look like they'd fit a TA bumper nicely...

Edited with final exhaust clip. After I get the computer tuned, I'll get somebody to man the camera while I do a fly-by. I'd do it now but the car's running like crap. Might be part of the reason you see the smoke coming out of the tailpipes. It's either the RTV I used on the gaskets (I was fairly liberal) or something else. I'll figure it out eventually.

damn that sounds incredible! nice job!

and as much as sportlines suck, they really do make the car look sick.

last vid it sounds supercharged and nice fbody door squeek, i got it in the cold too.hehe, also a nasty clutch pedal squeek.stupid Fbodies.

anyways, it sounds nicer than before for sure although i just hate the 80 series flowmaster but the headers sound way mean. and tips are badass. good job man, ill bet you like the noticable increase in power too. is your car auto of 6 speed?

I did notice a power increase before it started running like a turd. Like I say, hopefully the tune will take care of that since it's a !emissions car now. It's a 6 speed also.
