Cooling Fans "QUIT"
I was cruisin around yesterday when I looked down and noticed that my temp gauge was rising fast. My car has always run about 185-190 since I've owned it, so I knew something was wrong.
I pulled into a store parking lot and popped the hood, but before I even got to the front of my car, I could hear that my fans weren't on. I checked my fuses and they're all good, so I'm wondering if a relay went bad? I'd hate to have to take it to a shop and pay $75.00 an hour just to figure out what it is,....but when it comes to electrical trouble shooting.....I HAVE TO WALK AWAY!!!!
Any suggestions?

Turn the ac on to see if the fans come on. If not check the fan motors if they work replace all relays. If that fails then it is manual fan swithch time. Weird that a car with less than 21000 miles is having this problem.

I don't see anything even close to where they ran the wiring though.....that was all on the passenger side from the battery up over the pass. wheel well, and through the firewall down below the heater blower motor area. I was thinking about just doing the Manual Fan Switch Mod, but I'm really curious as to why all the sudden they would quit working.

Check your relays- they are easily found under the hood.
You can check them by runnin a hot wire to it. Follow the diagram on the relay, it will tell you which poles do what. If you hear a click when you connect the hot lead to 87a its more than likely working. You might have to hook a ground up to 85, I can't remember for sure though...that should at least help you get started..
