Computer Flashing Codes (Need help/advice)

I took my car to the shop today because its been running like a piece of **** more and more over the past week.

I have a 94 Camaro with a 96 Vette LT1, 94 computer, edelbrock shorty headers, 3" flowmaster exhaust, hallowed out cat, underdrive pulley, and a moroso cold air intake.

Today, I brought it to the local Camaro specialists and they scanned my computer

My air/fuel ratio on my drivers side was 150-160blocks and my passenger side was around 112blocks. He told me an ideal ratio was about 128/128blocks. My fuel injectors on my drivers side are open for about 4.5-5.2mS and my passenger sides are open for about 2.7-3.5mS. My drivers side is burning lean while the passenger side is burning rich.

The scanner (even though my SES light would come on, and go away whenever the hell it wanted) showed a Crank Position Sensor, EGR, and my passenger 02 sensor.

I had the EGR and Opti-Spark(Dealership on napas expense thanks to them giving me 3 bad ones) replaced last summer, and my sensor is showing its running lean, which is correct on that side so I'm not sure if thats really broken. The Opti-Spark and EGR were replaced by the same garage that did my motor swap because the motor had a warranty. If you look at my Opti-Spark wires about halfway up the intake, the garage had spliced the wires and reattached them, they told me thats because that they had to do it for my computer. The Camaro specialists said that didn't make any sense and they shouldn't have had to splice the Opti-Wires for that. They also told me that I had lost a pig-tail for the temperature sensor on the drivers side of the block, but the computer couldn't tell them the outside temperature but block temp was at 184 on the computer.

My car currently has 2 or 3 non-sparking plugs and is currently parked for the moment. I don't know if that also explains the position sensor.

If anybody has any idea what the hell any of this means or have experienced similar problem I would appreciate any insight.

Thanks

first get the right computer, the '96 engines show a '96 only computer, when you are buying parts are you buying for the '96?

If you have a 94 computer then it shouldn't be showing a crank position sensor code. The wiring harness did have to be adapted for the 96 opti- they had a different connector that plugs in- the 93-95 aren't the same as the 96. I would think a "Camaro Specialist" would know that.

As far as the temperature readings are concerned, sounds like mixed signals there too. The sensor is on the driver side head towards the front. There is another one that is on the radiator as well- probably still reading that for the temperature. The one on the head is the temp that your needle shows in the car. If its not connected then your needle shouldn't be working in the car either.

I would say either get the right wiring harness for your car, or eliminate the 96 and newer stuff so that you don't have this nightmare for as long as you own your car.

Ok, so do I need a 96 Computer and Engine Harness? Or just the one of them?

If I need one or both where can I get them?

Ok, before I did any major purchases I decided to look at the vin code on the block, the vin is 1R2186952.

I'm not sure but I think "R" is actually a 94. So I don't know whats up with that other than the garage that did the motor swap lied to me. And if it is a 94, why would the garage have had to change the connector on the Opti? Anybody know where I can a vin decode for LT1s? Also, if it is a 94, any ideas for the problem original problem?

Also, is there a website that gives electrical parameters of the sensors (ie: the map sensor runs at 12 ohms on wires 1 and 3 but #2 runs on 8)? Because I can't find my Haynes manual and I don't feel like going to get another one.
