Chevy 3.8L V-6 engine casting numbers?
Hi, does anyone have the casting number for a 98 Camaro 3.8L 3800 Series ll
V-6 engine with a rear wheel drive 4L60E transmission? Do you know where it is located on the engine. I found these numbers on a spare engine that I purchased: I056 and below it was 6M-2. Not sure if it is suppose to be read as I0566M-2. These numbers were on the rear of the engine behind the drivers side head on the bellhousing flange. So, are you saying that for the 98 Camaro with the 3.8L V-6, the numbers are on the bellhousing flange area on the passenger side of the engine? Thank you, Tommy.
