for 3.1 Turbo induction is sorta not worth it for $3000 u can get ur self a 3.4l V6 outta 2000+ pontiac Montana and its got 200HP and 210LBS tq stock which is prolly what ud get the most outta that 3.1 with some serious boost, the 3.4's are bit more boost friendly as well, im in the debate for my 92 Z24 3.1, but i tihnk im going with a OBD1 3.8SC outta bonneville SSEI, but for $3000 u can get a complete 3.4 with computer and harness for way under $2000 and u can shimmy together a homade turbo setup for this motor very easily, u can get Custom made exhaust manifold cross over pipes that have a flange that will fit any T3 or T4 turbo on it, but staying away from boost though, u can make tons of power with the 3.4 N/A pulley, intake, exhaust, will get u a decent 180-200hp at the wheels and at least the 210 for tq. Its good for about a low 14 sec car with a 5spd tranny, with a good tire, and if u can drive www.domesticrew.com tons! of info on the swap there, u can use the 3.1 harness, i think u just have to mod the o2 sensor harness slightly to work, but other then that u gotta use a new custom motor mount www.jbodyperformance.com has em, they are local outta etobicoke, its around $300 or so for the mount give or take, go and speak with Mev, tell him Marcello sent you, he'll give u the rest of the run down, it also includes a detail instruction step by step manual if u buy the motor mount from mev, i know i used to work for him good stuff! hope this help!
