Well since my dad made me take it to his friends shop and he ripped us off and didnt fix anything...now hes paying 500 of it and Ill pay the rest. Most places Ive called told me around 600-800.....GM dealer said 1,000 area because its GM parts and lifetime warrenty but yea we havent decided. As for the studs I did some search on ls1tech and they say to just knock them out and replace them just make sure its done correctly.

Yea you just hammer them out pretty much, your better off taking the rotor and all off so you dont take a wack at that.

When I had my '94 V6 Camaro I had FOUR break off from ONE wheel. I went to the auto parts store and bought new's ones(obviously). For the broken ones I used a screwdriver and hammer to push them out the back, then I put the wheels one and torqued them down as much as I could. Then I went to a shop with an air gun to have them torqued down all the way.

Yea i had a problem with my 98 bird the right front 3 of them went out at once, i think it was from the last owner using the air gun on them without twisting the lug nuts on a lil before he went at it with the gun the were all stripped out.

Yup, the parts are cheap its the dam labor that kills the price. GM is trying to make the extra buck sadly im smarter then that. If I had dam good skills and a lift to support the motor and get the tranny lowered id do it myself but thats not gona happen as its harder then it seems.

if you have a jack and 4 stands you can do it. get the car up really high, unbolt the trans, pull it off and change it. your should be even easier than mine was since you dont have the PITA clutch fork bolt to get out. either way good luck with your problems, when theyre all taken care of youll be so releived.

it takes a special tool to get it in without it leaking. I know it pays about 6 hours
