The new has a couple more little things that the other motor was lackin and that I didnt' get too. But the big thing is not too many people have made 500 RWHP on the stock bottom end and had it last long. So yes, hopefully it will be a little stronger, but I don't know how long the it will last. Even if I pop the motor though, I still have the block from the first car to play with while I do the dirty work of pullin the old one.
Mods..too much to list here- the goodies are 42 lb injectors with 9lbs of intercooled boost flowin thru decent heads and a blower cam, and just about everything else that people do when building a motor

Geno, he dyno'd these numbers with 9lbs. of boost(correct?), and you expect 450 from what you have listed? thats pushin it, don't you think?

go to ls1tech.com there are hundreds of cars putting 450 rwhp with a setup close to what im doin. hell, theres a company called TTP and they just built a car with stock cubes, no blower, no nitrous, and put down over 500 rwhp, http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=308361
its possible but you have to find the right setup. You cant just by a 2000 dollar set of heads and any cam, and make good numbers, thats not the way it works...

The old setup was Cartek Stage 3x LS6 Heads/Cam setup with a TPIS Oval Intake, port matched to the heads, TPIS Oval T/B. TSP did an independent test of the TPIS vs. FAST intake
Thats some major porting that this guy has on his car, and everthing is ported. If your running stage 1 items on the car, i think you'll be closer to 400-420whp, but still very good numbers.

well just expect lower, and when we go dyno the cars, and you see something like 435whp, you will be pleased. If you expect 450, and it makes 400, your gonna be dissapointed. Thats all i'm saying.

It always seems that cars make less horsepower than you think they're going to make, so with that said, always hope for something less than what you REALLY want. also, with the variations of power in the stock LS1's, it can vary from 290-340rwhp, higher hp's being M6's and the lower ones being A4's, due to the hp loss through the tranny. I'd be extremely happy if my car layed down 330 at the wheels with the mods I have. I'm gonna get it dyno'd at the next "Dyno Day" for the local club here.

I was hopin for 425 RWHP when I had mine done and got 476. But keep in mind I told him to do a conservative tune so that I wouldn't have to worry about melting my mill.
A lot of people/companies will put stuff on a car and do a crazy tune on it just to get really good numbers to sell their items. There are also different techniques to dynotune a car- a dyno is only a test/tune device, as far as I know there is no standard for setting a dyno.
