the engine will push 425-450, i have a 750cfm carb, performer intake, and a drag racing igniton (crank trigger) form msd. and the people building it guessed 500hp and they have been doing it for 25yrs+, regardless, i found out today that the tranny from the 3.4 will not bolt up to the 383, i had to call jeg's. i have to get a 4.3 or 5.7 tranny.

read this 500 hp out of a 383 is almost unheard of and have it streetable, few manuals will handle the torque from that, and a 750 cfm carb won't keep up I've seen more than one person go to a dyno with a pro built engine that was supposed to be so powerful and never even hit 300 hp. I'm not trying to start anything just want to make sure your an informed buyer (there are millions of scam artists building engines that have done it for years because dynos are still scarce)

i am not either i am just saying i know these guys, well i dont personally know then, they have built some powerful engines. they build a 327 for a friend of mine. so i trust them, if you get what i am saying. i think it will push 400hp may 425. but truely i would be happy with 350, i only have maybe 125hp now. also i am paying 2500 dollars to get this thing built so i best haul ***. and i read your page, thats kool but look at the part about stroker motors, that says "Consider this, If getting "just" 1.57HP per cubic inch was easy, (that's a 302 with 474HP), everybody would be driving around in 10 second cars, and if you've been to the track lately, there aren't many streetable cars running low or sub 10's in the quarter mile, if ANY unless they are blown, nitroused or have big strokers or something". this motor is a STROKER, it has all aftermarket parts, and 400ci Eagle crank, and as i said crank trigger ignition, believe it or not that is more HP. is can is going to be street legal, but not by much. i am puting a whole new rear end in and rear suspension, and front suspension. sub-frame connectors. by the way i will have no cat. convertor. ohio just said no more e-check. LOL. that makes me happy. if you have any more questions let me know. but i am about 80percent sure i will get at least 400HP. think about this a stoke LT1 can run a 13.25 and they only have 275HP. i should hit low 12's at least that is goal.

edelbrock performer intake, and 750cfm carb. low-profile drag racing crank trigger ignition with module and coil. sbc serpentine system, without a/c, lt1 radiator.
in the block itself, i think- speed pro 2 relief flat top pistions, eagle 400sbc forged s.s crank, speed pro hyd. cam with .450, .460 lift, lobe 114. new performance push rods and rockers, and springs. h-beam connecting rods....? i am not building it, i just told them what i wanted but as far as i know that is want it has, for the heads they are stock sized but rebuilt with performance parts. i am going to use 4-1 headers, no cat and a dual custom exhaust system. truely i just want 350hp but they said 450-500, thats all i know.

the heads are stock but they have been completey rebuild, and really i have we were talking flywheel, truely i done care, but let me know both if you can. i dont think any program that you have will take into consideration crank trigger ignition, it does add a few horses. but anyway let me know what you come up with, thanks
