1st time hit. And...
All I can say is HOLY ****!!! I finally got all the nitrous wiring finished minus the bottle heater. On my way home from work this morning I hit the nitrous for the first time. I am still grinning as I am typing this! All the time and hard work payed off big time. After I turned onto the bridge near my house, I noticed a nice big gap in traffic and a 05-06 mustang in my rear view mirror. Sure enough the Mustang got right beside me, so I gave the system a nice big purge. The stang still wanted to play, so I shifted into second and let the nitrous flow. The first thing that happened is the rear broke loose and shot me sideways, so I straightened it out and shifted into third. The same thing happened! (Just not as bad) By the time I was revving at about 5200 rpm's in fourth, the race wasn't even worth taking part in anymore. The stang caught up with me a few miles down the road at a Chevron and wanted to talk. We chatted for a couple minutes about cars then he went on his way. I think I broke his heart.
The car feels like a completely different machine when it's on the nitrous. I don't think I could move my head if I wanted to. The way it plants you in your seat is awesome! I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary after I got home and after the spray everything returned back to normal. No change in idle, no clicking, no clunks...nothing. I guess all the safety items were a good decision.
And one more thing...WOO HOO!!

Woot. Sounds sweet man, I hope to someday throw a system on my car. I was in a few cars on the juice and it was awesome I'm sure its nothing like being behind the wheel controling that though.

Man, you're making me want to go back to my old idea of nitrous! I was toying with the idea of a 100 shot a couple of months ago but never got around to it. If you don't mind, what kit are you using and what was the final cost after you got it installed and everything?

I can attest to the power the addiction...When I took the car out and got on it the first time I was actually a little scarred- I didn't think it would make that much of a difference.
Congrats- I'm glad it was a successful hit for you...my only advice is keep the jets safe and don't pop the motor!! Unless you are just looking for an excuse to rebuild and run bigger jets of course!!

The kit I am using is from Harris Speed Works. I chose the LT1 Brute Force kit due to the bigger solenoids and the ability to customize the entire kit. It is currently jetted for a 100 shot. Look at my other post for some installed pics and more info.
After it was all said and done, I am probably into my kit about $1500 mainly because of all the extras I bought. (Billet bottle brackets, Mount, Dual Purge, Filter Kit, NGK TR6 plugs, Mallory 685, Bottle heater, Special order fittings, Etc...) You could definetly spray for alot less money, but I wanted to get it right the first time around.
