Selling the Turbocharged Camaro

Was building it as an open road racer and for CASC-OR Solo 1. Its an original 1980 Camaro Z28, factory 4 speed car with T-tops. All GM documentation, and is 1 of 80 Canadian T-top, 4 spd cars. Still has the original paint on it, so no surprises. All mods have less than 50 km on them, and it hasn't even been to the track yet. It was being built as a Yenko Turbo Z clone. For sale FIRM $7500 with all the extra parts I have accumulated for it. As it sits right now. Will need a windshield, and minor reassembly to be street legal (needs the front lights reinstalled). Need the cash more than the car...

Comes with tons of parts, and you could probally ebay most of them and make a couple grand back without a problem. This thing is a beast and will spin the tires into 4th gear. Have tons of pics of its entire construction. PM for them...I will make a website for it soon. I have no time anymore and I want to get my garage built before winter comes.

Pics from the spring just back from the initial dynoing of the car for Sports Car Revolution, and in Car Craft magazine as one of the 25 contenders for the Real Street Eliminator - while it was still under construction! Lots more work than listed on the show or in the mag has been done to the car.

You can see the rust at the bottom of the doors in the pics. That is the worst rust in the car other than the hood.

Here is the big wing...installed when the car was new. I have a stock trunklid with a standard 3 piece spoiler that goes with the car. You can see the red steel case of the ATL fuelcell peeking out under the car

Here's an engine pic from when we were first tuning it. You can see the turbo. We put on a 305 sticker on the valve cover to mess with people. You can see the front frame braces installed. Everything clears, even the turbo.

Here is a better view of the turbo. Its flow map is the same as a AiResearch T04 V1 trim compressor but has better bearings, and low speed response. This engine has NO turbo lag at all.

Here is a pic of the floor of the car with the interior out. You can see how clean it is, and the roll bar door bars.

And here is a closeup of the removeable clevis on the door bars.

And one last shot where you can see the t-tops.

Interior is painted, new windshield is in. Complete interior will be installed this weekend if the rain stops. Got a deadbeat bidder on ebay - got to sell it, no room for it. I will take some new pics of it also.

It ran 12.8 at Cayuga on street tires on pump gas, spinning to the 1/8 mile. Need to get ir re-dyno'd since its much stronger now with some tuning at the same boost level.

$7000 Cdn takes it.

Rolling body availble - $3000 it has the interior reinstalled already, with the rollbar, current dated 5 point harness, 3.42 Posi rear, fuel system, new windshield, four wheel disks, etc. Will let all the extra body parts go with it including a pair of front spoilers, hoods, stock trunk lid with stock spoiler, etc.

Drop in your motor/trans/exhaust and put it on the street.

350 Engine is also availble by itself - $4000. Its just rebuilt with all receipts and just did 358hp at the rear wheels on pump gas with a bit of tuning and the boost turned up a little. That calculates to about 430net hp at the crank with all accessories...on Sunoco 94. Strap it to an engine dyno like the magazines do with no accessories and an electric water pump and it should be close to 500hp gross. 70psi oil pressure hot or cold. Sold with everything from carb to oil pan.

The turbo setup is low profile so it will sit under the hood of any car. Idles with just a touch of lope with the turbo cam. Turn any car into a killer sleeper.

Pics from a few weeks ago...
