For Sale: 2004 Pontiac GTO Now LEGAL in Canada
So Canada has changed its bumper laws and now the GTO is allowed to import. I am going to sell mine in Canada and I will either do the work to import it for you or sell it to you for pickup at the border for a cheaper price. To 'Canadianize' This car you will need to add a circuit that leaves the DRL on at all times. It already has a km/h speedo.
I am living in Oklahoma but my family is all there, I will ship the car to them and have them import it to save you the hassle if you want, this will obviously add to the cost.
This car was one of 800 W40 cars that were made to be a 40th anniversary edition. From Wikipedia "Rumored to be a stillborn 40th anniversary package, it gave the buyer an exclusive paint color called Pulse Red, red GTO embroidery on the seats, and a Grey colored gauge cluster. The last 800 2004 GTOs were built with the W40 package."
This car is in excellent condition inside and out, the interior has a very small scuff on the passenger seat that was there when i bought it and there are a few rock chips on the front of the car.
I am the second owner of the car and I purchased it in September 2006 with 32,000 Km from an Oklahoma dealer. The car was purchased new in January of 2005 in Denver and has no rust.
The car has had a change with synthetic Mobile one every 5000 km since I have owned it. All maintenance is up to date, the tires are brand new and the brakes have >25% life on them.
Currently there are 75000 Km on it.
On the highway I am able to get 26 mpg if I set the cruise at 115 and I average about 21 mpg in combined city driving.
The car has been taken care of all it's life and I have never taken it to the drag strip. The miles since I have owned it have been mostly driving from Yukon to El Reno, and 2 very long trips to Canada and south Texas. Since I have owned the car I have replaced the ignition tumbler and the felt lining around the windshield and this is the only maintenance I have had to do. I also performed an alignment when I heard of the strut rub problem that can be a problem on these cars and i have not had any irregular tire wear.
I am not sure what I would like to do with the wheels and tires that are on the car right now, I have the original wheels with brand new all season tires on them, and I have the wheels that are pictured which are 18" ROH wheels from Australia made specifically for this car. I will be happy to discuss the inclusion of these as well as of the hard wired radar detector with a potential purchaser.
I can be reached by email at kfennell@gmail.com by phone (US #) 405-708-8814 or call my parents at 905-456-1423 and leave a message and i will call you back.

the $3k is just a guess based on $1000 shipping $400 at the border, $1600 for me to register the car once it is there + i guess a bit more for the inspection. Then you could just buy the car from me as if it were canadian
