RARE 10th Anniversary Rx7 Turbo II
Thanks for your interest in my 1988 10th Anniversary Turbo II.
Here is some info on the car:
Body:
Has original 198k. No accidents at all. Original paint. Side mirrors and tail lights are upgraded to oem series 5 units. (the original unique 10ae taillight are included in the sale) There is slight rust at the sunroof and inside the doors, only visible when the door is opened. The frame is very solid and rust free. Window tinting was done recently. Anybody who has seen this car will agree to say this car is mint for its age.
Suspension/Brakes:
Still riding on oem suspension, the shocks has been replaced with oem units by the previous owner. Tie rod ends and lower ball joints have been replaced with Moog units. The brakes are getting low but still more than enough for safety. Transmission and shifter bushings have been upgraded to Energy Suspension units, and a triangulated tower bar is added.
Under the Hood:
JDM Series 5 Turbo II swap. The motor was sourced from City Japanese Used Auto in Scarborough and the work was done at Nigel’s Auto in Markham, a rotary specialist shop. The motor was mildly street ported prior to installation. The following parts are replaced during the installation:
Rebuilt JDM S5 turbo
Water pump
Oil metering pump
2mm apex seals
Cleaned / flow tested injectors
O’rings, grommets, seals, filters, etc.
Upgraded all vacuum lines
120 amp 3rd gen Rx7 alternator
3rd gen Rx7 fuel pump
Emission’s removed and sealed with block off plates
a/c removed
abs system removed (mechanically blocked off), brakes work great now
throttle body modifcation
custom fuel cut defender
custom turbo intake duct
custom dual wastegate setup (awesome engineering by Nigel’s Auto)
Blitz blow off valve
Custom down pipe and custom 3” dual muffler exhaust system
Interior:
I’ve kept the black interior pretty much stock. All the plastic pieces are there and not broken. All the electronics work except for the intermittent rear wiper. The black leather seats are a little faded from normal wear and tear. The sunroof works fine as well. An Autometer boost gauge is installed beside the instrumental cluster. I removed my stereo for myself as well as 2 gauges from a 3 pod single din slot gauge holder. What is left is a fully functional Autometer EGT gauge. The ash tray has been modified to hide a black SAFCII. I removed it from the vehicle thinking I will install it on my next vehicle, but it can be included in the sale since I modified the ash tray already.
Asking $7400 as is or $7800 cert/etested obo
