FS: Great starter bike that boogies, SUPER CHEAP INSURANCE, Honda CB1, custom yellow
New bike has arrived. I hate selling this bike as it's truly one of the best bikes I've owned and I'd keep it if I was allowed to have 3 bikes in my stables. Unfortunately it'll have to be either this one or the new beast so grab the CB-1 before I start crying.
For all those admirers this may be your rare chance of a lifetime, I've decided to offer my '89 Honda CB-1 for sale as my wife doesn't want to see her husband on a naked bike and has agreed to let me get another flashy bike.
Not many of these bikes come up forsale often and last couple I've seen were close to $3g's with more km and needing more work.
History: The Honda CB-1 was imported into North America for two years, 1989-1990. Only came in one color, blue, and cost just under $4g's brand new. Because the NA market wasn't ready for smaller cc bikes these bikes were not sold in large numbers (plus it cost as much as a CBR600) and now have a cult following. Prices have been going up on these rides and you can expect to appreciate in your investment.
The Honda CB-1 has the look of the Honda Hornet, sizing as the Honda Hawk and an engine size of only 399cc (CB400F). The engine is actually based on the Japanese Honda CBR400RR with the exception of different cams that allow for more street ability in low-mid range. It has the same high revving 13500rpm engine and with Honda quality loves to be revved.
Many parts as still available from dealer (I've gotten stock parts from CycleWorld). Super cheap insurance, cost me 1/3 that of a supersport and for most should be only a few hundred per year.
Details of bike:
- 1989 Honda CB-1
- Custom painted Yellow and registered with ministry with new color.
- No apparent accidents in it's past as frame and body, tank looks great.

- custom cut (by me) carbon fiber CB-1 stickers on tank.
- brake fluid, coolant, oil recently changed.
- carbs rebuilt last year (in fall).
- New spark plugs installed (cost ~$100).

Thanks for the compliment, the bike is amazing and pleasure to ride.
New pics to show off the beauty. Sitting in option 2 mode, SF. If not sold I will hold onto it until spring but great for people that still want to enjoy the 3-4 months left in the season.

Thanks for the compliments. It's a great running bike and one that will be sure to keep it's value. Just got my insurance premium and it's less then $500 / yr, call your insurance company to compare to a modern SuperSport and you'll be surprised on the savings.
