Hey Guys & Gals,
Up for sale is my pride and joy of more than 2 ˝ years. Most of you guys in the local Vancity area may already know of my car, or have probably seen it roaming around on the street, at car meets and car shows.
I want to make a few things clear before I go any further: This post is only to “test waters”. I am in no hurry to sell, and actually, I really don’t want to let this car go yet as I have not even driven it in the environment that I wanted to (drag, autox etc). But like they say, we all have a price =)
For those viewing this thread:
Please respect my post here and not ruin this thread. The asking price is what I feel is fair. This car was built with QUALITY. Gerrard, Paulo, and Steve at Keep Performance Lab have poured blood, sweat, and tears into this car. This is the one car that they built from the ground up.
- Please refrain from posting comments about the asking price
- If you can find something for cheaper, than go and contact them (you get what you pay for)
Brief History:
One thing that sets my R32 Skyline apart from the rest is the fact that this car was built in Canada. The car arrived untouched, no aftermarket modifications at all. Not even a shift ****. It was bone stock, and AUTOMATIC =)
In my opinion, this is one of the nicest R32 Skylines in Canada. Performance, exterior looks, interior condition, this Skyline has it all.
Unlike the majority of other Skylines for sale that came pre-modified, 99% of the parts purchased for this car were purchased BRAND NEW.
The only 2 parts on this car bought “used” were the coilovers and the roll cage.
Total Spent on Aftermarket Parts: $38,000 (Parts & Labour)
Total Receipts available: $30,000 (Parts & Labour)
The vehicle cost of $8,200 is not included in the costs listed above. The missing receipts are due to friendly hookups from people in the industry. Paintjob, Navigation deck, electronic performance items, some were purchased on a no receipt basis.
The vehicle was purchased from Cannonball-R in July 2004 as a bone stock GTS-T Type M body style. Soon after the purchase, the body style was converted to GTR look with a Satin Black paint job (Satin black is not the same as a flat black spray can job) . A five-speed conversion was performed as well. The rims at that time were WORK Emotion CR Kais.
The motor began work in early 2005. The stock RB20DET motor was pulled out and replaced with a complete RB25DET motor/tranny from an R33 Skyline. After the motor was finished we decided to go with wider, more aggressive wheels since a few local Skylines started to dress in the same rims. New wheels arrived during the Summer of 2005; WORK VS-KFs. Fenders were re-rolled/pulled out to fit the new rims.
Febuary 2006 I received a new body kit and changed the GT-R look to a full Final Konnexions body kit. Along with that came a new paint job; Tri-stage Alsa Corp Ice Pearl Jet Black.
All of the work on the vehicle was performed at Keep Performance Labs in Richmond, BC.
My Personal Impression of the Car (Drivability / Reliability / Condition):
I have never driven any other high horsepower car so I cannot make a fair comparison. But, I have had numerous “runs” with other cars. Anything with less than 300WHP will not have a chance, unless it’s a 2lb Smart Car with 300horse hahah.
G35, 350Z, WRX, SRT’s, cars of that nature I can out run with ease.
Other Skylines, like GTRs, I eat alive all day long. Again, unless they are modified, they don’t have a chance in hell.
Drivability: My car has great street manners. It is very easy to drive, and the clutch is tamer than most twin plates. The car NEEDS to be warmed up to at least 35-40* C before you can really drive it. The Tein HA coilovers may be a little stiff for some, but I love the feeling of a very stable ride, kind of like being sucked to the ground.
Reliability: My car is driven 10 out of 12 months in the year. Rain or shine, it is out on the road. The 2 months that it is garage stored is when it gets too cold and starts to snow; December to January.
Exterior Condition: 9/10
- The reason why I would not give it a 10 is because the front & rear window moldings were not replaced. It’s almost not noticeable, but I am very picky with my cars. The paint and body kit fitment is a 9.5 / 10
Interior Condition: 10/10
- Almost zero flaws. No dash bubbling, no broken vents. Very clean inside. No burn marks.
Engine Bay Condition (not mechanical condition): 9/10
- There is probably not a Skyline out there with such a clean and empty engine bay as mine. The engine wires have mostly been tucked, hidden fuse box, removed hicas hardware and lines. The reason why I would not give it a 10 is because the paint under the hood is a little scared in some places from the swap. Otherwise, it is MINT.
Aircare: YES, the car does pass aircare with eaaaaaaaaase. But, you must put in the high flow cat that I will provide you. That’s all you have to do.
Right now, the car is running 3inch straight pipe all the way through from the turbo to the can.
The cat can be put on and taken off within 10-20minutes.

Hey Guys!
Thank you all for the kind words =)
It really does mean a LOT, and I really don't want to let the ride go, but I'm going through some rough times.
drift_n_shift: It's an honor to be on your desktop

Due to some financial obligations, I am entertaining an offer of $27,000 for the car from a potential buyer It will include the stock GTS-T seats instead of the JIC ones.
If you want to make a higher offer please email me at wong.will@shaw.ca
I will be making a final decision in about 1 weeks time.
Thanks guys!
