FS:1988 325iS (E30)
385k On the chassis, I didn't drive it in winter for the 14 months I owned the car. I am the 3rd owner, the first owned it until 1990 and the old man I had purchased it from had owned it since then only had winter driven it 5 - 6 seasons until the car was sold to me. Now for the good stuff.
-Thick Folder of recipts, records showing $$$$'s spent by the PO @ BMW Missisauaga and BMW Toronto on lots of common things that go bad on a E30, purchased NEW.
-things it will need right away are the rear muffler straps and there is a exhaust leak at the downpipes.
-Complete exterior strip/respray done January of this year(windows, trims, bumpers, lights etc.) all removed when it was done. Body is solid, the car was undercoated/rust proofed a few time by the PO (don't have recipts for it)
Drivetrain:
-Dealer replacement engine (used)
-brand new head, valves, rocker arms, cam etc etc.
-100% stock, had the M30 afm on it for awhile but went back to stock
-will need probably need a timing belt soon, approx 71000kms on the current one that was re-done 314k
-3:73 LSD, faint whining in 5th but still locks up pretty well.
-20k on the center support bearing i replaced as well as an inspection/rebalacing done by Cardanic driveline
-Trans/motor mounts are good, but may need some love soon since i was planning on replacing them
-New z3 1.9 shift lever
-there is a small oil leak and you will need to top-up every 4 months.
Suspension/Brakes
-E36 Front/ E36 318ti Rear 5-lug conversion
-All new 97+ E36 m3 control arms
-AKG 75D Polyurethane offset control arm bushings
-AKG 75D Polyurethane Subframe bushings
-IE Poly Polyyurethane Trailing arm bushings
-New wheel bearngs in the rear
-Custom E36 front struts modified to use E30 shock inserts
-325 front spindles. For superior braking one can throw in a e36 bbk or throw on some m3 front brakes.(I was planning to do this)
-New Ground control coilovers 440F 625R
-New Ground control adjustable camber/caster plates
-New Ireland Engineering Polyurethane rear shock mounts/reninfocement plates
-Bilstein sports revalved to the specs of the shocks included in the Turner J-stock package.
- Bimmerworld camber shim kit to dial in some serious camber with the e36 spindles
-Needs a parking brake assembly/cable on one side in the rear. I have the parts and the cable. The other side is fine.
-NO ABS!
Ice??/Interior
Not really much to see here,
- Threw in a sony mp3/usb deck a year ago. Works well.
- re-wired the speakers to ditch the stock amp and its not the best job but it works since I didn't really care much, just wanted some music.
- Overall interior is okayish, Theres a small burn on the left rear door card and the drivers front sport seat needs love on one of the bolsters. Passenger s at and rear side seats are in very good condition.
-Dash is good, no cracks!
-Momo monte carlo wheel/bmw horn button.
- I removed/re-installed the stock headliner and dyed it in black.
Exterior
- New OEM "iS" front lower lip spoiler that was painted with the rest of the car. It has chips from highway driving. I also purchased new mounting clips.
-The original fogs were pitted and cracked so i swapped them out for OEM fog blanks. All the original wiring is there for the fogs if you would like to run them all you need is to throw in the fuse.
-89+ Plastic bumpers were installed by me. They do not line up perfectly and while it doesnt bother me if you want it to be as perfect as possible i would suggest taking it to a body shop. Looks a LOT better than the diving boards that were on it before, lol.
-Rear euro plate filler
-Diy shadowlined all the trim OFF the car.
-Shot all the trims with some paint again OFF the car.
-There are a few VERY small chips/dings from everyday drving, but will look brilliant with a proper exterior detail.
-6000k Euroh? HID kit in the stock US projectors. The 1yr warranty ran out this june but they haven't failed me.
Im currenty running 15x7 stock E30 m3 weaves. Tires will need to be changed soon.
I also have a set of the 17" e46 steelies rattle cann'd in black which i was going use in anticipation of getting e36 m3 brakes. Has new cheap rubber with lots of life left. all of the wheels lips have small bends.
I will also throw in (If the buyer is interested) an refreshed m30b34 with 2 transmissons and 98% of the parts to swap it into the e30 since this is what I was going to do.
Be warned most people who have ridden in or driven my car say its very rough for everyday street driving so dont be suprised. I wanted the car to be able drive to the track, drive the **** out of the car with no problem and drive the car home at the end of the day with no issues or need for a tow truck which it has done so far the two track days i went to. I never had a problem with the car since it was bone stock when i first got it and is VERY reliable for a DD except for the roughness, haha. With a motor swap and good tires/brakes i'm sure this e30 will fly.
Asking $6000obo
Pm me if interested.
