WTF? im so confused. well i know they of coarse make the different gears for different carriers such as 3.73's in a 2 serries or 3 serries. the aftermarket doesnt go on how big the gear is, like the factory stuff does. im just assuming these thigns but i was sure 3.08 and lower is 2 serries.

" A 2-series carrier fits 3.08 and numerically lower gears (3.08, 2.93, 2.73, 2.56, and 2.29). While a 3-series carrier fits 3.23 and numerically higher gears (3.23, 3.42, 3.73, and 4.10). The exception to this is if you purchase custom gears specifically made to fit your specific carrier (i.e. you can buy 3.23, 3.42, 3.73, 4.10, and 4.56 gears to fit the 2-series carrier)."

Arch I was told by many that If I got 3.73s gears(3 series carrier ones) with LSD that they would go onto my car is that true.

I sware the whole gear thing gets me confused........I thought the carrier was the differential(sp) So by getting a LSD that would change the carrier?

Nope, your not guessing at all, you simply look at your door and look for the code. If it's less that 3.23(I think that's right, arch?), your a 2-series carrier, if your above, your a 3 series carrier. And the gears are sold by the way heh!
