Window tint. Help.
Alright i have 2007 Infiniti G35X (new 4 door model)
I want to tint windows in it.
Since its a lease i have to do it legal way so front side windows have to be the legal shitty tint.
What should i do for rear windows. I was thinking 5% but i was told itll look crappy in contrast to the front windows not having too much tint on it.
One more thing i was wondering how does it feel to drive with 5% tint at night? Does it reduce visibility bad or not really.
I have to decide before thursday.

when backin gup at night 5% tint is a bitch unless u have amazing eyesight. I used to have it on my jetta and i removed it a motnh later its wayyy tooo much. Cant see in the dark at night specially when reversing out of a parkinspot in a crowded area.

Yup, I put 35% on the side and 20% in the back on the g/f's firebird and it looks great......My truck has 20%, all the way around, and it looks even better, and I haven't had any trouble yet. ....I think anything lower than 20% is gunna be hard to see through at night.

from my experience having 5% tint is just about the worse thing you wanna do
during the day its seems all purple out and really isnt pleasing as a lesser tint
and at night its just hectic....35%/20% is an excellent combination as many suggested

Depends on where you live or may drive. If you're out in the country at night.. forget looking through your side with 20% ( let alone 5% ) Its a pain to backup also with 20% in the back ( unless the place is well lit up.
I don't really fancy the different tint levels on the side either ( unless you're driving a van )
I would suggest 20% on the side and 35% on the back ( unless the tint shop has tint level thats in between ). it keeps those pesky sun out from the corner of your eyes.. but the back is light enough for you to see whats behind you ( especially if it's a cop behind you ) and allows just enough light during night that it doesnt appear you have it tinted too dark ( another reason for a cop to pull you over )

stay away from 5%
I would definitely recommend that you don't get 5%. Had it on my old Civic, but it was noticably harder to see out of. The guy at the tint shop recommended 35% on the front and 20% on the back. Often 20% looks just about as dark as 5%, depending on how light out it is, and other factors. The guys that did my accord are the Tint Guys near Highway 400 and Highway 7. They did a good job.

hmm. my bf had a civic that had 5% on the rear and 35% up front and it looked fine... If you have a dark interior then that will help the effect A LOT.
He also has 20% all around on his lincoln... we both agree... it's not really dark enough. Depends how dark you want to go.
Another option is to layer the tint. I know some people are against layering but we did it on my G5 and it looks really good and have had no problems with it at all. When I got the car from the dealer, the dealer had tinted it at 35% all around. I drive down to NH a lot and wanted more privacy being a lone female on an interstate so I got 20% put on top. It's sitting at around 7% now and I have no problems with it what so ever for backing up and stuff. And the G5 is a pita just on its own to back up as the rear end sits stupidly high. Anyone who gets in my car agrees that you can see out the back window VERY well at night for the tint being so dark. My windshield was also done to but 30% with reflective I have no problems with it either but its highly illegal and I wouldn't recomend it... although I wouldn't trade mine for the world! I love it!! I have pics of my car if anyone is interested then post up but I gotta jett for now.
