What do yall think bout these headlights installed?
Been seeing them on ebay for awhile and now im thinking of puchasing them.
My car was hit in a parking lot a couple of weeks ago and just got the insurance money a couple of days ago. The car was parked and some guy backed into it. Cery minor damage, but enough to warrant replacing the front bumper cover. Gladly, he didnt run and sucked it up and his insurance covered everything. Ive got to get a front bumper and new ground efx piece. Luckily at the automotive school i attend, there about to open a autobody shop with an ICAR certified P&B tech. My instructor tells me they'll hook everything up for me pretty much for free minus supplies and parts. Not too bad. I was going to do a 98-02 conversion, but decided against it because thats spending a little more $$ on parts than id care to right now. All my parts are coming from ebay ( really cheap).

Are they really that good? I just had to replace both my lowbeams for about $60 and I'm fed up with sealed beam junk headlights. I didn't know they made these. This might just be the next thing to go on my car. Very soon. How long have you had these lights and did the kit replace low and high or just low?

well chad did it the expensive way, i did it the ebay way. i bought a pair of xenon low beam bulbs and a pair of xenon high beam bulbs and then just popped the old bulbs out, put the new ones in and used silicone rtv sealant to seal em in. looks great and tonight i'll get some pics of them in action, but until then...

So when those bulbs burn out youll just have to cut the silicone where the bulb was inserted, install a new one, and then re silicone it? How hard to get the old bulb out (factory oem) any big risk of breaking the whole assembly in the process?

i wondered that so much until i actually did it. i was afraid to do it cuza that. but ya just twist and yank and get a screwdriver in there and pop it out. you'll find out all about it when ya take it off.

Its definately worth the mod only because when you have to replace the headlight, you now buy two $10.00 bulbs (at most) compared to two $30.00 bulbs.
