turn signal lever

turn signal lever
Since i've owned my car, my brights switch hasn't worked very well. It doesn't lock in... if they DO turn on, then you have to hold the lever towards you until you let go and they will turn off. Also, the resume cruise switch never worked right. If you pushed it while cruise was on, it would speed up about 1mph and then shut the cruise off. I'm guessing there are contacts loose because sometimes it will work if you push it the right way. Now today, my cruise stopped functioning completely until tonight, the switches were very touchy; sometimes it worked, sometimes not.
Do you guys think replacing the lever will fix the brights situation? I know it will fix the cruise problem since it is a contacts issue.

Looks like a couple problems here. The lever itself controls the cruise and wiper functions, but there is a disc that the lever mounts into that controls the brights and turn signals.
You have to pull the airbag and steering wheel to get to the disc, kinda time consuming. You must make sure that you put everything back the way it was or your airbag not function properly. Its not hard, just be careful and make sure you have plenty of time so you aren't rushed.
