Too bright or just right?
Aight, as everyone knows I'll make the decision on my own as far as whether or not I like it, but I like to throw up polls to see what the general consensus is. So, do you think these two shades go together aight or are they clashing? Imagine the entire bottom half of my interior being this bright red and then having the darker carpet. Look ok?
Edit: Also, you can tell from the way the pics are showing pink and orange in the knee bolster that 1, my camera sucks when the flash is on, but 2, it matches the color of my exterior decently since my exterior shows up orange pink and red depending on the flash and angle.

looks like a clash to me, but its hard to tell from pictures as to how close they actually are.
In my honest opinion, if I were to look at it, I would say it looks like someone tried to match the reds and went with what was 'close enough.'
I would try and match closer, or try and possibly introduce another color that will help break up the red/black combo.

Well, they're no where near the same, the panel is bright red, and the carpet is a dark red... Here's two pictures that is more realistic to how it looks "in person", had to turn the flash off it was washing it out.

Well I guess in my eyes I much prefer an interior that is mostly black with some accents. I know every person has their own view of what they like and thats what matters most.
If it were mine, I would just stick with the carpet and perhaps do most of the dash in black with some red accents here and there. With the entire carpet being red its going to shout red when you open the door and the dash is going to try and shout louder. It gets a little too busy for me.
That being said however, I do appreciate all the work and time that you put in to it. Your car is a perfect example for how I feel- Even though the red/black combo is a little much for my taste, I respect you ard your car MUCH more than someone who has 800hp camaro but simply used their credit card to pay for all new parts and someone else to put them on. Any schmuck can do that, but it takes someone with heart to put the time and elbow grease into something to make it theirs, and with that, you have my nod of approval.
I know this might not help your decision, but its just how I feel...

Appreciate the comments none the less, bro. I know my interior is going to clash with what a lot of people like, in all honesty I'm excited to finish so I can throw a post up on LS1Tech so I can laugh as 90% of the replies are barf or vomit emoticons lol. I like the bright red interiors though, fell in love ever since I saw my brother's old '77 corvette interior.

Yes i do too think they will clash just a bit. It's a shame the red carpet you got wasnt brighter, i just think it's too dark aginst that paint color. But i agree, i respect all the work you put into this car. Seriously Brian, you and i are very much alike.

Bleh, well these weren't the results I was hoping for. I'm stuck with the carpet either way, and I don't really want to even think about dying it because I can only imagine how long that'll last and then how ****** it'll look.
