Tires for 18s
Well Ive basically decided Im getting those c6 motorsports... now Im looking for tires.
Id just like some recommendations from you guys personally for good tires. Not necessarily the best, becuase theyre expensive as hell, but just some decent tires.
Right now Im looking at some Falken tires on discounttiredirect which are decently priced and theyre rated 4/5 stars. Id like to keep it to $600 or below if possible... As much as Id like to get eagles f1s or bfg kdws haha.
Im looking for 275/35/18 for rears and 245/40/18 for fronts.

You can get the same Toyos that I have for $215 each for the 275's from this site, and I love these tires. I had Falkens on my 16's and these are way better.

Work with Discount Tire Direct! They are awesome! But like I have told you before call them and put in your order.. Just say you are part of LS1Tech and that you get a discount.. They will work something out for you to save some money
The tires I got for my v6 were like 170 each I think.. I cant remember what kind the tires are but they were the cheapest ones I could find at the place I went here in town..

go with fuzion ZR1,
they are Z speed rated, very cheap and are very good during summer, not a good snow tire but then again no one on here should be driving their camaro in the snow. This is the tire im buying in a few months, and my buddy eZnasty on here uses them and loves them

heres a professionals opinion...buy cheap, expect cheap. sorry bro but sumitomo are crap. toyo and nitto are okay, but the sidewalls dont stand up well when it comes to 35 series. fuzions suck, wear fast and dont grip for ****, which is the opposite. if they wear fast they grip, if the dont grip they last forever. fuzion dont follow either of those patterns. firestones are good, but theyre big o tires' competitors eagle F1s GS-DS are probably the best out there, but ive heard some legitimate complaints about them that would make me steer toward bridgestone pole positions, which i hear they have a newer version now, or even michilin pilot sports, but now we're talking 1400 a set .
justin if youre going to buy tires spend the money and get good ones. falken are always a good compromise, but go for BFG or Goodyear. why spend $400 once a year when you can spend $800 every 4 years? i use that to sell the good tires all the time, and ya know what? it works. i too this lady bad today. bought cheap tires 13 months ago and theyre already bald, so i sold her new ones with a 4 year road hazard warranty for $700. big o euro tour FTW

I goto Yokohama's tire testing days in Charlotte once a year and try out all the top rated tires. When it comes to this, I think I know what im talkin about. We sell all types of high performance tires, but for a daily driver, for the money, the amount of cost vs grip / wear amount, Sumitomo comes out on top for me. If you want a drag car, get slicks. For a daily driver, get a good gripping decent priced tire, no sense paying $800 for a tire you are barely if any tell a difference and still wear them down in 10k miles.
Its just like the customers that come in all the time and must have Michelin, they are going to pay an absurd amount of money for something that is not even near worth it, they will get better mileage than the **** tires, but much more than a midrange? Nah. Its not worth paying the difference.

I dont think a Y rating is somthing I should be considering haha..
But yeah caleb... I see what youre saying. But its not 400 once a year for me, it would be like 800-1000 if I want good tires. I just want tires that arent going to wear incredibly fast... I dont care if they hook up or not, I cant even roll the tires as it is lol.. Im not trying to cheap out.. If I did that, I could find $240 of tires like I did for my rims I have now, which still havent given me any problems in almost 2 years. Im looking to spend around 600, which is reasonable, and should get me decent tires. As much as Id like to spend the money, I have other priorities, and other things I need to get. I cant really afford $1000 in tires at the moment. When I knock off a bank, then Ill think about it haha.
Im probably still considering the falkens because they are rated pretty good, and they are about 600 if I get those all around. I might be willing to spend a bit more if I find a good deal for decent tires, but I cant pay $450 just for rear BFG KDW tires... Id like to, but thats a lot of money to spend. I dont plan on roasting them every day... theyll be for primarly daily driving with a little fun.

Iveheard of those but nankang is kinda the cheap brand of tires imo.
I recommend Riken Raptors or Nitto ZR
And when people say goodyear eagle f1's....U gotta understand theres like 8 types of F1s, theres a little thing next to that on the tire that gives it its name, its usually like in a little banner, theres some "supercar" or "touring" or "concept" they all look totally differnt. Well just my 2 cents, i work at a place where im always dealing with sports car tires and have seen my share.
