Rim size 10.5 problems?
Still no rims. But still searching...The black ones still havnt fell through but right now im in a bad place. All tires need to be replaced fast! I just noticed the ware one the front. So if I need to change all tires might as well change the rims to. So I figure Ill get a loan from the bank for about 800 sell my rims for 400 to someone that is intrested locally then ill have more money to play with. I already know what I want some chrome z06 rims. I was thinking 17's in the front and 18x10.5s in the rear. Or just 18x9.5's all the way around. any suggestions? I know if I just stay with one size i can rotate tires. thats something i miss..Do the 10.5's rub like the 11's? If so then ive made my decision.

taking out a loan to get rims? I don't think I'd ever do that. I'd just wait till I had the money for them. ON the sixe, I'd say 17s all around, but regardless, I 'd get the same size front and back for rotation.

I doubt you'll be able to get a $800 loan. I use to be a loan officer and most banks won't go under $2,000. Plus personal loans(unsecured) are really hard to get since there's no colleteral. I seriously only approved ONE, I had to turn down all of the rest and I got requests every week.

The way rim and tire prices are today, you need a loan . Some people pay about two grand with tires. Me, I'll have to wait till I can afford the rims... then buy the tires two at a time. Then either install myself or wait and have a shop do it when my old ones need changing. Sad, but true.

I understand that, but for me personally, unless I had the cash to do it w/o getting a loan, I'd just settle for new tires. But I make it a rule not to go in debt for the car, and to only buy mods when I have the money.

keep in mind that if you get 10.5" rims, your gonna wanna get wide tires, which cost a TON more if your not going nittos, they seem to be the cheapest WIDE tire available at like, $177 or something.
