The DupliColor that Chris was talking about in the other thread works really good, so Chris when you read this also -- rest assured it's a **** good kit if you do go with it. This was the easiest thing I've ever done I just just I had the Camaro decals already..

Oh, and for clear coat I bought... at the local autoparts store here they had a wheel clear coat that was resistant to brake dust, chemicals, rust, high temperatures, everything, and it worked great. just gotta let it dry before I can put the wheels back on, and then the real fun begins with finding out how to put her down with the ground effects on.

I just painted my Calipers with a Red Caliper paint, seemed to work well, but didn't get a complete coating. It sort of, left dimples of unpainted spots. Any ideas?

Either there's residue from some chemicals on the caliper that isn't allowing the paint to stick to it, or it's the actual bumpyness of the calipers... I took the brush and dotted it against the calipers for the first coat, this filled in all the holes and dimples, and then 2nd and third coats I did normal brush on, 4th coat I did dotting again, and 5th coat brushed, and then 6 coats of clear coat.

why not just spray it with high temp paint, that's how i've done my calipers, red, and black, then coat with a high temp clear coat. works fine and you dont hafta brush anything on at all.

alot of the high temp spray paints will darken though , plus the caliper paint is supposed to be a little harder than the spray bomb stuff

That's what I used on my calipers and I'm really happy with it.

Well, the good part about this is that it was a two fold win win situation! Not only did I finally get the calipers painted, but it gave me the chance to put the bushings in to bolt the sway bar down to the control arm finally. So I have both front wheels off, I go and look at the driver's side to see how it bolts in, reach down to inspect what's where, and the entire thing jiggles... sure enough the entire bolt was rusted through, so MY ENTIRE SWAY BAR WASN'T EVEN BOLTED DOWN! When the driver's side went, I'm not sure... but I know the passenger side has been loose for atleast 6 months, if not since I bought it almost 3 years ago. Thankfully, my dad had bought a pair of the bushings when he got it for me for christmas, so I bolted the sway bar down... I'm gonna go for a drive and see how it handles now that IT ACTUALLY IS BOLTED DOWN! It's like a free suspension upgrade And now, the pics:

now a bit of suspension detailing and you'll be good to go, why not poly ends though they are easier to find and still cheap?
