you can put a candy over any color. but i would sugest if your goin candy spend money and buy all top of the line paint products... like house of color... as for colors goto a body shop that works with house of color they should have sample to look at...

^^^ yep. high quality paints, and good good professionals. typically a candy is put over a gold or silver base, but its all how you apply the candy; this makes the difference. if the guy you get to do it doesnt do it right, it wont come out good. if they dont have samples out, or you want to be orignal, my suggesstion is to get a couple small pieces of sheet metal and get the guy to prime it, put the base coat on it, and apply different layers of candy, until you get the effect you want

I really like this idea , since I don't want anyone knowing my car is gonna go for paint , any good paint shops in your area's and if so do they have sample cars and price quotes they can show me so I have an idea of what I'm looking to save over the winter time ....

heres some examples of candy from ppg that we have done the motor cycle is a gold base with a two layer coat of silver flake then 4 coats of candy and 3 coats of clear then wet sanded then 3 more coats of clear then wet sanded and polished

the truck is white base then green metallic base, then three coats of yellow candy then 3 coats of clear then wet sanded then 3 more coats of clear then wet sanded and buffed
work done at casualcustoms.ca
hopefully these pics work
