Black Billet Grill
I know I've seen them but now I can't seem to find it anywhere. I want to buy a black billet grill for my car. The one I have now is a polished one that I painted black but no matter how good of a job I did painting it and clearing it, it keeps chipping away since it get's hit by everything while driving. I'm not looking to get mine powdercoated either. I just want to buy a new one.

I think it would be alot cheaper to take your grille and have it powdercoated..

No it wouldn't be cheaper to get mine powdercoated. With the chips on it from the paint and rocks and such it would have the be stripped down etc... and it'd cost me more.

Well couldnt you strip it down? Get some sand paper and sand it all down then take it and have someone powdercoat it.. When I get my car repainted the painted told me he could paint the grille .. Mine right now is chippin as well.. You think real automotive paint would stay better or should I get them powdercoated when I get my rims done?

yea, aircraft paint stripper works, although it kinda messy. i have a sandblasting box, or a hand held sand blasting gun if you were interested, my dads buying powder coating stuff including a big oven, but not for a few months til our new huge 2 car garage is finished.(about a month)

stripping billet down so it would hold the powder is a ***** (they usually put a finish on to resist oxidation, that also resists stuff sticking) ebay has gotten bad, most of the dealers are getting in trouble with the suppliers (most manufacturers don't like them selling on ebay as it hurts the regular dealers profits)
