Sub just stopped working

Hey guys I have a 350w Alpine amp with an Infinity Perfect 10", and on friday when i was playing my music, the bass suddenly stopped working, so i go to my trunk to see whats wrong. All the wire are connected and everything looks good. But I found out that when i push the sub in a little bit with my fingers, it starts to work again, but when i let go it stops, what can this problem be?

sound like something has come lose on the sub internally (i'm sure you figured that out)

Best bet may be to repair the sub or replace it.

SS Electronics can do repairs, Selective Sound of course can sell you a knew one.

Buying new may be best.

Why dont you take it out of the box and see the coil wiring?
Happened to mine, and I re-solded it and works like a baby.
Turn down your bass man....

I ended up buying a new sub (Polk Momo MM104) to replace the infinity. I felt that it wasnt worth the money repairing it. and plus this new sub pounds wayyy harder, so im happy.

i have the same prob. too. i disconnected the sub and reconnected and it's not working anymore.. i removed for now since it's taking so much space in my small trunk..

any idea?? i think it's the amp that's not responding...

You could test for power or try another sub.

Is the amp power on lighting on ? Did you pop any fuses anywhere ?
