Help me adjust gain and bass Eq. Settings.
I have the Alpine MRPM350 - Alpine 1 Ch 350 Watt Amplifier with an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10 VQc 10" sub.
here are links to both the products:
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=66
http://www.cardomain.com/item/INFPERFECT10VQC
And right now I have the gain and bass equalizer 3/4 of the way. Is this a good setting or not? Am I gonna blow the sub with this amount of power? It sure sound good right now.
Please look up the specs of both components and let me know how to set these gain and bass eq. settings accordingly so that it sounds good and I would damage my sub or amp.

u'll blow the amp if anything (not blow but damage the power supply) to get enough out of the sub. Usually you voltage test the speaker outputs without the subs being hooked up to a recommended spec for your application with your deck at its full good output (around 60-75% volume)

gain?
A easy way to do it is to turn the gain on the amp down all the way.
Then turn the volume on the deck up to about 3/4 of the capable volume
(if max is 30, go up to 25).
Then turn up the gain on the amp until you hear distortion and back it off a touch.
You can then play with your bass eq.
Thats pretty much your max.
