Fusion was origionally a brand from New Zealand. Over there, the market is small and to get high quality stuff is very hard. Fusion components are more geared to sound quality rather than pure SPL. They make sweet speakers in the mid price range. The entry level (green cones Encounter Series) are a great bang for the buck and will out perform the typical Jap stuff like Pioneer, Sony, Jvc and the like for the same or less cash. The mid range (chrome cones with butyl surrounds) work extremely well. Stay away from the 3 way design, the mids are harsh and cook. The 2 ways sound awesome. I had a set of 6.5's and pounded them for 2 years with a mid quality amp and had many compliments. Only draw to them is if you do have an issue, it is difficult to get them replaced unless purchased from a reputable shop because the dealer often waits for a long time for repairs/replacements.
Overall, my opinion is they are great for the price, just don't abuse them.
