"The German automaker has caused a real surprise by announcing it will import a 7 Series sedan modified by Alpina, one of Europe's top car tuners.
The Alpina B7 adds a supercharger and intercooler to BMW's 4.4-litre V8 to raise horsepower to an even 500.
The vehicle also sports a ZF 6-speed manumatic gearbox with shift buttons on the steering wheel, 21-inch wheels and bigger brakes, an aerodynamic body kit and Alpina blue instruments with red pointers. Price will be set nearer to the summer launch but it won't be cheap."

I talked to BMW sells recently.
It has been confirmed that BMW Canada will get 50 Alpina B7's in total. There will be none available in US.
Cool car, shame that it's really just a BMW with Alpina badge. The Canadian-spec B7 doesn't have the special interior nor special paint available on a typical Alpina. And they are build totally inside the BMW's own factory, instead of Alpina's.
