Took a couple pics the other day
These are some pics with the stock hood back on, as the SS cowl is still in the shop being repaired. Doesn't look as agressive, but I guess I'll live with it for the time being (prob shoulda spent that money on engine mods not a hood lol). Just got bored and was gonna add some to my garage or the gallery, but it still wouldn't let me upload so I posted them here.

The color according to GM is called Cheyenne (and yes it is similar SOM with a little more red). Yea I think the car looks much better with the SS hood as well. About the cost of painting, my dad is friends with the guy that does all our body work so getting my front bumper put back on and painted along with the SS hood was only $400 total. Normally you get estimates that high and higher for either the bumper or hood by itself, not together, so I feel I got a really good deal. David (the owner of the body shop) told me if anyone else was having done what I did it would have prob cost them twice that. My dad repainted his whole truck about 6 months ago and David only charged him a little over $500 for that (just materials, no labor). If the paint is just chipping and the bumper is all ya need painted then, I would say even after they blend it back on the fenders to help it match, you still would be in the neighborhood of $400 to $500 dollars I would think (unless you know someone like I do).

Hopefully if you know him he will. Well I was hoping to get my SS hood put back on Monday, but my fiancee's grandfather died today about 8 pm so that will have to wait until after the funeral and the 4th of July. As soon as I get some pics after it is reinstalled I'll post them, but it may be a few days because a family crisis like this is def more important than my car (as much as I do love it, at the end of the day it's still just a nice, fast, piece of metal and parts)
