Option Magazines annual bazaar
On Sunday December the 11th, I headed off to Chiba-ken for the annual Option magazine flea market. This market boasted some great new and used products at real competitive prices.
Beyond the new and used parts booths, there were a few D1 drift cars on hand, so I snapped off a few photos of them. Next to the D1 drift vehicle display, Option magazine had a few of the radio control 1/10th scale cars on hand. This sight led me to ask for a try at the handle of Drift Samurai’s RC FC3S (Imamura san). After a few tries, I was able to drift this little monster quite easily, but not to easy as the floor surface was concrete and very slippery at best.
After wondering around for the better part of an hour, I headed out-side where they had a 1/32 mile strip set-up. This track was holding an event which showcased the Moto- champ racing series. They had a handful of 2-stroke scooters and mini-bikes that were just lightening fast. As this was my first time to see such an event like this, I didn’t know what to expect in terms of ET times, but after a few short passes, they all seem to be running in the low 3 second range.
Overall it was a great way to spend a gloomy Sunday afternoon. Ive attached a few pictures for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
