I think there is a misconception on the use of methonal injection.
I'll try and explain how it works and what it does.
this is a coolant resivoir converted to contain the alky
we use a Shureflow pump
the high pressure line from the pump goes to a spray nozzle mounted in the up pipe (going into the throttle body)
there are several different controllers for the pump, the Buick guys use a progressive controller with a 3 Bar map sensor.
so you only get alky when your boost reaches your setpoint. I set mine to come on at 12 lbs and being progressive it only gives a small shot of alky, as boost increases so does the alky, cooling the charge from the turbo and effectively raising the octane rating of your fuel. it's like running c-16 on the street.

First I will say thats pretty damn cool.
However am I the only one who is concerned that he says he charges $15,000 to do the swap ?? I know he said that includes the engine and all parts but its a $3,000-$5,000 engine. That means he charges $10,000 in labour and doing small things like engine mounts and wiring?
