HID H4 Bi-Xenon for the LT1 WS6, PICS
Well it has been awhile since I posted any progress on the car. I finally got all the custom pieces made and installed on the HID kits for my car. Made some custom billet plates / brackets and holders that are gloss black powdercoated with all stainless hardware. I tried to engineer some good positions for all the hardware to be hidden with the nose back on the car, but at the same time still have access to the ballast / ignitors and wiring if a problem arises. Actually the setup is really trick in person, I don't know how well it will translate in the pictures ? I purchased a H3 6000k HID kit for the foglights, which will be on the car and finished in a week or two after I finsih the modifications to the foglight bracket to accept the new H3 glass housing, more on that later The main lights were changed to H4 (Bi-Xenon (Hi / Lo) 8000k HID kit (4x6) glass projector housings. The project is not completely finished, but very close. I still have to finish cleaning up all the wiring, but that will happen in a week or two. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks I will be able to show everything finished including the foglights and brackets complete.
PS: for the guys with LT1 birds I finally figured out the infamous shaking headlight syndrome. The lights are rock solid now after the repair, no more shakey lights going down the road at night I will post all that I have done with the next installment of pics and info.
Here are a few pics, more to come....
(bracket mockup complete)
(passenger underside in position) (brackets in the middle don't have the ignitors installed with the cover, soon !)
(passenger underside)
(passenger sideshot)
(passenger front)
(drivers top, below headlight bucket)
(front shot with glass projector (4x6) installed)
(driver front, closeup)

I do drive the car, just not much in the last couple of years. It mostly sits waiting for me to give it something new. Its kinda like a pet, but I feed it money instead of food F-body's are a love/hate relationship.....
