I known about this kit for a while but this is the first video of it ive seen... Nice mod but the conversion kit cost a grand and you still need the b-series tranny....

Video - this is my 98 integra with a H2B swap( H22 motor with B16 tranny)

Ive seen a vid of an EG with it. The kit makes it look HORRIBLE. The hood has to be lifted up a couple inches in order to clear and it plain looks stupid. Its very functional but looks stupid. Ill look for the vid after and post it in this thread....

Ok I found the vid. H2B Turbo Hatch.
Look how nasty the hood looks on an angle

all this for shorter gear ratios? why not just buy a GSR?

What's the point of using a transmission designed for a smaller displacement/less-powerful engine on an engine with more torque... especially when the engine doesn't even fit under the hood after the "conversion". Seems pretty pointless to me.

yea i dont really get the reason for that...

if u really want a good way to spend a grand+ go and get a turbo kit, then u'll love the longer gears.

i mean, what is the difference in gear ratios anyways?

just seems like a waste of money especially since the hood doesnt close properly.

the h2b kit is not about the shorter gear ratios its about having the reliablily and easy shifting of the bseries tranny... if u ever driving a h22 u'll know wat im talkin about bout... u wont understand till u get an h22

but if your gonna spend the money to buy and h22 and then spend money to buy a h2b swap kit and then you spend the money to buy a b series tranny. you might as well buy a b18c5 engine and tranny and laugh...
or is the h22 so good?

you like to start arguement dont ya... but i'll answer nicely anyways... and h22 is cheaper than a bseries... h2b is not a must is jus an option i for one wouldnt do it... fyi a typie cost about $5g's and h22 cost about 3g's w/o install... in the end the choice is yours b-series has its advantages but so does h-series... thats one of the beautiful parts of owning a honda options... lol

u know what i would have done

instead of going and pulling out a b-series and putting in an H series only to go back and put in the b series tranny.... which costs money, money and oh yeah, MORE money...

so a H22 is 3 grand? fine, so is a GSR, take the GSR, 3 grand, which comes with the GSR B SERIES TRANNY, take the remainder of the money and put a turbocharger kit on it, u have the reliability of the b-series AND the torque and then some that the H22 offers (*snicker, torque, honda, same sentence, lool)

IMO, reinventing the wheel.

i have a friend who turbo'd his H22 for 1800 for the turbo kit....turbonetics turbo kit....

so it can be done

i never said do anything to the LS

swap in the GSR, turbo that, it WILL cost less than H22 with a b seires, and it will make more power.

i drive a civic si, daily driver, i also have a Volvo race car being built.
i had an 87 5.0 that got smashed beginning of summer.

any other quiestions?

geez, guys got an h22 bubble back and thinks he owns this board...
grow up kid, i've been around a lot longer than u have.

Some people can install their own turbo system.

And a turbo kit under 2K would be relatively easy if you knew where to find parts, and shopped around.
