bout time...
So lets start from the beginning...
1995 Z28...6-speed LT1, black, t-tops, leather seats, power everything, Bose 5-speaker cd stereo (dam good bass for stock).
Now for mods:
-Mac mid-length headers
-SLP 2OTL [2 On The Left (SS)] catback
-K&N Filter
-Descreened MAF (can't believe how easy it was)
-MSD red plug wires
-Mildly dark window tint
-Goodyear Eagle 245/50/R16
-New alternator
-New clutch and synched the gears
-And since I've owned it, 91 octane gas, Mobile 1 synthetic motor oil and filter, Mobil 1 synthetic ATF, and Mobile 1 synthetic gear oil, and GM limited slip additive.
Now for the problems :
-Needs paint, especially the front (Maaco!!!)
-CD player won't play CDs (ordered new one)
-Missing left subwoofer (installed new one, bass is hella better)
-Bolster rip on driver's leather seat (too common, ordered new one)
-Window tint scratched and ripping (got an appointment to get new tint)
-Bad fuel pump (ordered new one)
-Bad brakes (ordered ceramic pads and new rotors all around)
-Code 32: Bad EGR valve (ordered new one)
-Leaking heater hoses (last guy just got universal ones installed that go over the engine...looks gay but worked for him...not for me...ordered new ones )
So anyway that's my new car. It's got 136,000 miles and has some problems, and definitely isn't as nice as Carmen, but this thing runs great and is quick! That alone makes me not give a dam about the looks. It sounds so nice, and I have a sound clip if Chad wants to host it for me
Oh and I don't have a name yet...I just call it the "Black Z". I need something good so post suggestions

hey all you LT1 owners...how bad is your gas mileage? i havent had the opportunity to clock mine yet, but i seem to be throwing $40 into my tank every 2 days. now i knew V8 would be bad, but im hoping the bad fuel pump or egr may have something to do with it!
please tell me it shouldnt be this bad and that when i fix the pump i get better mileage

the v6 and lt1 are rated pretty close to each other in millage (I think the lt1 was rated at 18 the v6 at 22)a fuel pump won't hurt millage, but low tire pressure, out of alignment, new v8 from a v6 (like you don't floor it and get that grin)all effect it.Figure you should get near 300 miles to a tank on average (don't ask me why but that's the way tehy do the fuel tanks)
