most people complain about the wings on a japanese car, if it's american it's ok? (check out a site that is geared away from the 4th gen and you'll see big wing=ricer) young people tend to be more into doing the make your car stand out no matter what thing, but if you have a big wing on your car (and it's not a daytona or superbird) and you say anything about any other car with it your a hypocrite

While I really don't have anything against the wing itself, I think it just ruins the lines/flow of your car in particular. The height of it just seems very out of place. But if you like it, that's all that matters.

The wing is not tasteless, or tacky. If it was a huge aluminum wing that looks like something the space shuttle might utilize, or something that looks absolutely horrid, that's different. I don't see the point you're trying to make with the above post.

If you're suggesting that I'd make fun of an import with that spoiler, I might. I might make fun of a Camaro with that spoiler too. Or any other car. Depends on the car itself and how it's pulled off. And frankly, I don't think this instance looks too terribly bad. Now, put this same wing on a rusted out 91 Accord sedan with a gigantic fart can, and you may hear me sing a different tune... a tune of "Oh good god, someone give him a vasectomy before he breeds more idiots".

What it all boils down to is everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. That is why most people post on these PUBLIC forums. If he thinks it is rice, he can call it rice if he feels like it. That is the cool thing about personal opinion...it doesn't matter what other people think.

The fine line between ricer and non-ricer is taste. Torquedog said exactly what I would.

Take a huge aluminum wing and put in a honda, or a camaro, id make fun of it. Take a wing that actually flows with the car, and it wont look so bad. Its all about style, and what flows with the body of the car. if it looks way out of place then it looks like ****. This metal attitude of 'kids doing anything to stand out'.. seems to me like youre saying 'if your car isnt stock, it doesnt look good'.

Coming from a biased person who grew up in the 70s, and 80s, you would like more stock looking cars since thats what mostly existed then... I have an open mind to most cars, and people that try to make somthing look good... It could turn out, and it could not, then you try again. But then again it all comes down to personal preference, and what you like.. Which basically leads to what getner said.
